Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation:

We tour Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa which are all world heritage sites. The Durbar Square sheds light on the life of the royals in ancient times. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple and Baudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, we are introduced to our fellow participants and discuss our trip at the Tour and Trekking Nepal office. Overnight in Kathmandu. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni:

We start our lovely scenic journey at about 07: 00 AM in the morning after having early breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu, driving along the Trisuli River by following Prithvi Highway to Pokhara and then continuing to Beni. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 04: Beni to Babiyachaur Trek:

We start our trek from Beni, you strike out west along the north bank of the Myagdi Khola through several small villages, you then cross two bridges near the village of Simalchour, and head back to the north bank from where it continues to the village of Babiyachaur, today, we pass through cultivated fields, lively villages, suspension bridges & then follow the path at Myagdi Khola to Babiyachaur. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 05: Babiyachaur to Dharapani Trek:

We start our trek after having breakfast at our camp, and today, we cross the river to the west of Myagdi Khola and will head north to Phedi, the trail is fairly level and we pass the village of Shahashradhara, cross the Duk Khola and walking through green grassy fields arrive at Ratorunga, from here the valley narrows again and the trail continues to the large village of Dharapani. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 06: Dharapani to Muri Trek:

We start our trek by descending and walking through villages, we go over a suspension bridge across the river when the trail leads uphill; the gentle ascending path continues through villages, sparse forest and terraces till you reach another ridge, you then trek gently along over a straight trail until you reach Muri and this is a small village inhabited by the simple Magar community, you will get a glimpse of Manapathi peak and the whole Dhaulagiri range etc and stay overnight at camp in Muri. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 07: Muri to Baghara Trek:

We start our trek after having breakfast at camp by descending a gentle slope and crossing a rocky stream, we come to a path amid terraced fields to Dhora Khola, cross the river and climb to the right up the mountainside to Ghorban Dhara, the view from this pass is fine, for the first time we will see Ghustung south (6465m). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Follow the right bank path past Naura where we begin to ascend the mountainside, after climbing for a short while, we take a path that traverses the steep grass-covered hill, the Myagdi Khola assumes a steep-walled V-shape as the traverse ends and a high, winding path climbs the steep, grassy slope, the steep slope will not tolerate any missteps but the path is well-constructed with a great number of zigzag stone step paths. At last the long climb ends, and we enter a traverse to the right – here we must also beware of falling into the gorge of the Myagdi Khola, soon we descend through a forested area, emerging to a ridge snout where Baghara (2050) is visible. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 08: Baghara to Dobang Trek:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 11: Rest day for acclimatization:

Today is our acclimatization or rest day at this base camp and we will explore around and adjust to the altitude, the trail is covered by bamboo forest all the way to Italian Base Camp. Day 12: Italian Base Camp to Glacier Camp Trek:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 13: Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek:

We start our trek and after starting our wild journey today, the rough rubble gives way to the smooth ice of the white part of the glacier, we will climb steadily to the rough and chilling but spectacular Dhaulagiri Base Camp. The views down here take you to another world and stir the imagination. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
