After checking in, you can rest or visit the Kathmandu Summit Adventure office. You may also want to explore the streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub in Kathmandu, where you can shop for souvenirs. In the evening, a welcome dinner will be hosted by Kathmandu Summit Adventure, featuring delicious Nepalese cuisine that will give you a taste of the country’s authentic food culture. Overnight stay in Kathmandu. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation:

We tour Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa which are all world heritage sites. The Durbar Square sheds light on the life of the royals in ancient times. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple and Baudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, we are introduced to our fellow participants and discuss our trip at the Tour and Trekking Nepal office. Overnight stay in Kathmandu. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi:

We leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a village which is also the starting point for treks into the Langtang valley. Our journey will be on a winding road through frequent switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. Our trek for today ends with a descent into the small village of Syabrubesi. Overnight stay in Syabrubesi. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 04: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel Trek:

We begin our trek to Syabrubesi along the Langtang Khola. We ascend and descend simultaneously through oak and rhododendron forests. After crossing a bridge over the Langtang Khola (small river), we ascend on a steep trail which will lead us to the Lama Hotel. Overnight stay in Lama Hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 05: Mundu via Langtang Village Trek:

We continue ascending from Lama Hotel and enjoy the mountain landscape with abundant waterfalls. As we reach the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela, we begin to see the white peaks of the Langtang range. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing a few temporary settlements used by herders. We pass a Buddhist monastery before reaching the Langtang village which was affected by the April 2015 earthquake. We continue on our trail to Mundu. Overnight stay in Mundu. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 06: Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa Trek:

We will start our journey to Kyangjin Gompa, a principal monastery of the region. We pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We also pass by the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on it. After the short trek, we spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Buddhist shrine in Kyangjin Gompa and surrounding areas with amazing views of the mountains. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day: hike to Tserko Ri and return to Kyangjin Gompa:

We spend the whole day exploring Tserko Ri which will also help us acclimatize to the high altitude. We begin early in the morning. The trail passes through yak pastures before ascending to Tserko Ri. The sunrise view from the top of Tserko Ri is extraordinary. We get back to Kyangjin Gompa by late afternoon and explore the beautiful monastery while enjoying views of the Himalayas, glaciers, birds and yaks. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Ganja La Phedi Trek:

We head towards Ganja La Phedi, firstly crossing the Langtang River. Then, we will ascend through the trails amidst rhododendron forests while gradually gaining altitude level. At times, we need to walk through snow-paved trails, especially during cold seasons. We reached the base of the Ganja La Pass and set up our tents to spend the night. Overnight camping at Ganja La Phedi.

Day 09: Cross the Ganja La Pass then Keldang Trek:

We will cross the Ganja La Pass. After breakfast, we follow a long ascending trail, and the hike would be a bit challenging. The pass is covered with snow almost throughout the year. We might require fixing ropes at certain places as we make long ascents through boulders and cross small lakes before reaching the summit of Ganja La Pass which is situated on a rocky moraine. From the top, we get to enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Naya Kanga, Ganja La Peak, and several other high mountains. Then, we gradually start descending down to Keldang from the glacier through the moraines. After descending for a couple of hours, we will reach a meadow, which is an excellent campsite on the flat valley below the glacier. Overnight camping at Keldang.

Day 10: Keldang to Yak Kharka Trek:

We descend following a prominent ridge line. During today’s hike, we gradually lose altitude through forests, ridges, farmlands, lush terraces, and grasslands. We finally reach Yak Kharka after about 6 to 7 hours hike through undulating paths. In the past, there were no accommodation facilities here and trekkers had to sleep at camps, but recently few teahouses have come up at this place. Overnight at Yak Kharka. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 11: Yak Kharka to Tarke Ghyang Trek:

we follow mostly descending trails losing altitude, considerably about 1,500m (4,921ft.). The trail would be similar, except that as you descend lower, you will notice more vegetation. We pass through numerous Sherpa villages before reaching Tarke Ghyang, popularly known as Helambu. Overnight in Tarke Ghyang. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 12: Ghyang to Sermathang Trek:

We cross a small forest along easy trails with beautiful views of the Helambu region. After 2 hours of gentle walk, we reach the amazing valley of Gngyul, a charming Sherpa village. After exploring the village for a while, we head towards Sermathang. In the evening, we visit the local village as well as an old Buddhist monastery. Overnight in Sermathang. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 13: Sermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar: Drive to Kathmandu:

On our final day of the trek, we walk down to Melamchi Pul Bazaar with many Sherpa villages. From the Bazaar, we board on a private vehicle to Kathmandu.
