Langtang Region Trek
Langtang Region Trek is the most easily accessible region from Kathmandu and offers stunning trekking trails in Helambu, Gosaikunda Trek, and Bhairav Kunda. One of the major attractions of the Langtang Region Trek is the wild landscape of Langtang Valley and the numerous mountain lakes embedded in it.
Gosaikunda Lake and Bhairav Kunda Lake and the green lush valleys make the Langtang region trek a must-visit regardless of how much time you have here in Nepal. When compared to the Everest and Annapurna regions, the Langtang region lags behind in the infrastructures and luxury guesthouses, therefore, it is less travelled by adventure lovers but it is a great choice if you want to opt for a less-travelled region in Nepal.
The Langtang National Park is the major highlight of the Langtang Region Trek. Over 150 species of birds and many mammals and other animals live in the park including the Red Panda. If you are lucky, you will be able to catch a glimpse of pandas in the woods of bamboo trees.
Langtang Region Trek is not just popular for its natural beauty but also for the cheese factory and cultural richness. The people residing in those areas follow Tibetan Buddhist culture, so Gompas and monasteries shower the region as well as the famous Tibetan prayer flags and wheels.
